Producer Dan Shake remixes Young Franco’s feel-good song ‘Two Feet’

Hot off the back of global support, ‘Two Feet’ is now set for a club tinged re-rub from UK underground dance stalwart Dan Shake.

Dan Shake is a veteran of the underground dance circuit. Only a global pandemic could interrupt his 5-year dizzying tour schedule, a testament to both his demand and taste across decks across the globe. This experience translates directly into his production on this remix. He has a knack for seizing the joy in the funk, disco and soul of ‘Two Feet’, and shifts them into his sonic palette. It features a rampant 4/4 drum pattern, adding extra weight in the low-end and its constant build swirls toward climax.

Young Franco’s journey in creating positive spirits is continuing right across 2020 with his new single ‘Two Feet’ featuring Pell and Dana Williams. While oceans apart at the moment, the track’s sentiment reigns through in its creation, a tale of personal connection, friendship and manifesting that in brilliant music.

Riffing on spontaneity, the track was built on the foundation of creating music with uplifting impact. Stemming from influence from the Beastie Boys and Timbaland, the song began in cypher format with Franco’s hip hop infused grooves and witty self aware bars from Pell, before Dana added her flare to the chorus. It’s from here the track started to build form.

On collaborating with the two artists, Young Franco quotes Pell as “one of the most talented people I’ve had the pleasure to work with” and having found him through his song ‘In The Morning’ being one of his favourite tracks. He admired Dana Williams in similar fashion being a fan of her music and collaborations with Rejjie Snow and Aminé, and knew immediately she’d fit the his music making formula.

While Dana Williams is new to the equation, this is far from the first rodeo for Young Franco and Pell combining their talents. Their latest single, ‘Juice’, released in early 2020 created career highlights for both artists. It spent 9 weeks perched at the #1 position in Spotify’s  flagship indie playlist Front Left, BBC Radio 1 Spins from Annie Mac and Molly King, as well as featuring as Zane Lowe’s ‘Next Wave’ artist on Beats1. Young Franco has also recently joined an elite crop of songwriters, with his track ‘Miss You’ featuring Maribelle received gold accreditation in Australia.
